textorizer1_2

This is the downloadable version of textorizer.

Windows, Linux, Mac OS X
System requirements: a recent enough version of Java
Installation: download, unzip, double-click on textorizer1_2.jar, wait a bit for it to start. If you get a message saying javaw.exe cannot be found, then you need to download and install the Java Runtime before being able to run textorizer

The source code is available inside the ZIP. It is free for reuse, according to the terms of the W3C software license.

Improvements over previous versions

• Many more tweakable parameters for better results.
• The original image can be a file on your disk and doesn't have to be on the web
• The original image can be set as the background of the result, with variable opacity
• Any font on your system can be used
• SVG file output

Why and how

Why: because many people asked kindly and because Processing made it possible quickly.

How: textorizer1_2 is written with Processing, as well as controlP5 for the user interface controls.
