Olive Oil

Olive oil from Provence is the finest in the world, that's a well known fact. Here, everything drips of delicious olive oil, from baguettes to "McDo" hamburgers. I heard from a lady I met on the airport end of the Prom' that older locals even shower it olive oil. "Je suis tres serieuse!" she said, as she was dabbing her skin with it in lieu of moisturiser, and went on to explain that it was why people live so long around here. So allegedly, you could live up to a 100 years, spending more of the rest of your life in Cannes, walking Rex, the grand-grand-grand-grandson of Fido, you first dog. Nice! Unfortunately, not being a local or a food-lover, I can't make out extra-virgin olive oil from standard Lesieur Arachide. Nor can I appreciate the delights of having salade de chevre chaud and pizza every time I go to a restaurant. Posted by maxf at June 25, 2004 05:49 PM
